My first guess would be Pachira Quinata but that's a only really based on the thorns. I thought it may be "Hercules Club" but that doesn't fit the bill as the thorns look different.MoGanic wrote:Hey mate,

Looks like the silk floss tree (Ceiba speciosa, formerly Chorisia speciosa). It is a species of deciduous tree native to the tropical and subtropical forests of South America.

I don't think it is a Silk Floss Tree but I could be wrong. When it flowers I should be able to get a positive ID.
