Rottnest

Rottnest has avoided major redevelopment mostly due to the costs of operating on an uninhabited island offshore from an expensive city.

Hence many of the trees planted by the original settlers remain - there's some impressive pines, ficus and olives to be seen. Especially the nebari!

Not this trip. I'll check the archives.

They are huge - 20m or more tall.
