Chinese elm turtleback
Looked at the line up of trees that need repotting and the frost on the ground ready to delay any attempt and decided some trees have to go . This one was dug in Autumn 2013 , has had the one repot last Spring and is ready now judging by the buds swelling . 300 mm pot . A piece of root with sheep nibbled suckers . You can catch me in Canberra periodically , otherwise it is probably a freight proposition since it weighs 4 or 5 kilos . $250.00 .
Cheers

There are many ways to do things, but only one "best" way.

Love my "hobbit" trees Mo. Have several from this paddock and a couple of Pyracantha from our place that were pruned by horses .

Thanks Andrew . You and Hugh are easy to deal with also . It was a long drive for you .
This tree is still for sale . The pot it is in is 300 mm diameter to give a sense of size . Repotted ten days ago . Still got a big bulb of root under that is alive .

Re: Chinese elm turtleback
Those tables were the best $90 I ever invested . The smaller tree looks even better than I thought it did and the rock works really well with the littlest " lump " .
Cheers Graham

My old man's got one of those tables in his work shop and swears the same thing haha.regwac wrote:Those tables were the best $90 I ever invested . The smaller tree looks even better than I thought it did and the rock works really well with the littlest " lump " .

The smaller one will be a great little semi cascade in the near future.
As for the lump/rock, I will let it put on as much growth this season as possible and reshuffle the branching in winter.
Thanks again Graham, we will catch up again very soon.
