Hi I have bought a bonsai. It looks quite small and like there is nothing to prune or wire. It is about 10 cm in height without much foliage. Should I just let it growth for a long time til I have something to work with ??
Thanks

Re: Bought a bonsai
Hi mate,
There's a lot of questions to ask and things to think about before you start asking about bonsai techniques. What species is the tree? What cultivar (if you know), what is it currently potted into? Substrate type?
All these things factor into how you approach growing you tree.
It would help if you posted a photo, it would give us something better to go off.
That said, judging by what you're saying, if you feel your tree is too small and not thick enough, letting it grow unrestricted is the best way to put on mass.
