The top and exaggerated branch are where I like them,now putting some more hair on its back/side,the pot slightly flooded from repot,does have nice a nebari just waiting for medium to settle,tree stands just under 10 iches in 100% diatomite

This a trunk(main) that was quite mature and gnarl y,wondering how many walked past this in the nursery,anyway this is a progression of my vision and play of a cascade,these trees are quite resilient when healthy..stress healthy,I would wire on compress,wire off, rest,and repeat,and repeat more times from start to now approx 4 yrs,tip for the beginners so I could start from the get go, just slipped in other pot for better stability,don't touch rootball/roots,the tree will lose the last of the wire hopefully soon and just mature and tweak to look more convincing,hope you enjoy..cheers Anthony

This tree was field grown 1991,then came to me bare rooted few seasons a go, potted to a big container and then feed well for a good year or so then cut back for back budding and to look at the structure and loose wired,then this winter wired to a informal style and potted up,so far happy with the progress...cheers Anthony

Hi anthony W, some nice inspiration there , along with good stock , a thought , an idea and a plan for the future , these will no doubt turn out very well . Separate topics would have made it easier to comment on each individual tree , "for future reference "and help keep track of comments relating to your specific trunks

Thank you Alpineart really appreciate your feed back what I was trying to do under one heading is probably saturation in hindsight,in my endeavour to show what some would call dusty material sometimes is not really, the good bonsia nurseryman has it for a reason so support them.In this game I was taught some time back once you have some idea of technique,health and good luck the only real stopper to hold you back is vision(what to do with the bl@#%y thing),what ever species, I think this is so true we all suffer from it.So if you don't see it go looking,mates trees,established artists,nurseryman's keeper trees,some good artists here have blogs and attached to them is Japanese links study them and so on,try first then ask.

Once again thanks Alpineart will separate next time,geese where was my vision,at least if I keep the mojo the wife should keep me,should ..cheers

Little update and looking at maybe a little change of direction,see what you think comments most welcome.

Slight tilt and create a slight branch other side with the tilt giving an illusion of a different plane to exaggerated side..just an idea at this stage...you might see something different let me know..thanks

Hi Anthony,

I prefer the new angle as the lowest foliage isn't all on the same level like it is already. Seems a bit more natural to me and the trunk comes out at a better angle. Is that lowest right branch able to be bent down further at all?

The lowest branch is pretty rock hard set unfortunately,tilting is my only real option there I think...safe way anyway..cheers Anthony
