Recent Juniper work
Here's a juniper I've been styling recently. Please feel feel to critique my work.

Re: Recent Juniper work
Not a critique or even close buy any means but I would love to own something near this.
Just a few that others actually think are special would do me just fine
regards Steve.

Wow!
That's beautiful Adam. How long did it take to have a trunk like that?

Re: Recent Juniper work
Looking fantastic mate! I love the protruding jin at the top. How long ago was it both collected and first styled if you don't mind me asking? You must be very pleased. I think the subtle yet strong curved trunk gives it a great flow.
Cheers,
Pearcy.

Re: Recent Juniper work
There's not much to critique Adam. Looking very good.
Further refinement of the branches as this grows will turn this into a great tree.
Great work.

Re: Recent Juniper work
Wow, we really are building up some amazing quality trees on here.
Adam, I think that the jin at the top needs a little more refinement - to me it is a little too blunt/thick at the moment. Just a little work to give it even more character.
Also, to my eye the suspended root at the left is distracting (the space under it), so I would fill that area with soil/moss if you wanted to keep the root for the nebari flare/balancing effect that it gives.
Finally, the same applies to the smallish branch bottom right - does it have foliage and is it needed or is it just a left over branch that you are thinking of jinning? I personally would remove it if possible, as it takes away from the overhang/backfill foliage that you have so elegantly crafted.
Really great work, has that natural/wild feel a la Ryan Neil's work.

Very nice tree. The only thing Might be that 'thinner' root on the left... Should it go or is there enough to Jin? Well done!

Re: Recent Juniper work
Ahh, I like it! I base my opinion on the following assumptions - this is an urban yamadori and is a juniper sabina or juniper media X.
Very good trunk width to tree height ratio; I like to the top jin as it is; the amount of foliage is about right for this type of juniper as I like to see the branching.
I'm on board with others who are concerned about the first branch (the skinny one on the right); I would like to see the top jin incorporated into the jin and shari on the bottom left; and I like my jins and shari's on junipers white so they stand out from the bark and foliage.
But when all is said and done, its a good tree now with great potential for the future- congratulations.
