[ID] Small trees

Was wondering if anyone can help me with this deciduous tree. Have about 6 coming up between a shed and fence. My neighbour removed the tree some time ago and I think these may have come up from the roots. The general habit is long and thin but that could be due to the dingy place they are growing. You can see a long straight part of the trunk in the second picture. The tallest is 2m. Here are some pics of the leaves.

Could it be a trumpet vine or similar? They are woody and deciduous too.
The things are impossible to kill and have similar looking leaves. So far the ones I have cut back to the ground/roots have all bounced back.
I haven't managed to kill one of them yet and not through lack of trying.

Not certain yours is though, just wanted to share my struggles.

I think it could be celtis australis, but hopefully one of the more knowlegable people will be able to confirm.

Agree it's a Celtis of some description. The one I have, that I named Celtis chinensis has very similar leaves.

Dig em up and use em for bonsai.

Have chased it up online and reckon Celtis is spot on. Will check out some more of the leaf characters and see if I can pin it down to species
