FLYER NAOKI MAEOKA FINAL DRAFT.doc
PREMIERE !! the Bonsai Federation of Australia presents NAOKI MAEOKA from Fujikawa Kouka-en Bonsai Nursery in Osaka Japan for a Demonstration and workshops.
Naoki is a highly qualified professional bonsai instructor and artist who is now gaining International recognition. His work only allows him to spend a very short time in Australia
but we are lucky to be able to offer these chances to see his work and meet him. I am attaching the flyer with all the details.

Bummer, I have a friend visiting from Tasmania that weekend, I am missing Bonsai by the Harbour too this weekend as I am in Dubbo and I'm not even a busy person!

Next one I am there for sure!

I spent one month at Fujikawa Kouka-en bonsai nursery in Osaka last year. Naoki Maeoka was my main instructor at that time. He is a talented artist and a highly skilled professional, who did the hard yards of formal Japanese bonsai training. He speaks English quite well and he is not afraid to share secrets of the trade. He is a great guy and in my opinion we will be lucky to have him here in Sydney. For more details see my blog post about him http://lomov.blogspot.com.au/2015/11/bo ... aeoka.html.

I have a question to anyone out there who is planning to attend any of the workshops with Naoki Maeoka. There would be a few at different locations between the 9th and the 17th of July. Naoki can bring some accessories for bonsai display from Japan. It would be something not bulky like tempai figurines or calligraphy/painting scrolls. Would participants be interested in buying such items? I am not sure about the prices, but please note that quality items from Japan can be a bit pricy. Please express your interest by replying here and I will let Naoki know.

Five days left to register for Naoki Maeoka event. A few workshop spots are still available as well as at the Demonstration . Make sure you don't miss this mainstream chance to meet an artist who is recognised in the homeland of Bonsai. :bump:

:imo: I have secured a very good JBP for the demo it was bought from Leong as a bonsai about 13 years ago and has been commercially repotted etc. By him and Thor. Since then was brought to me for evaluation. It has great potential to teach refinement and Naoki is a specialist in this, the likes of which not seen since Yuchi. This will be the Saturday morning demo.
There have been a few more registrations (4) since this morning and I am hoping for more before the end of the week. I think this demo will be something special that will be remembered for a long time (in a good way of course)
