Hi all I'm new to this site, I've been trying to find information on the Himalayan lantern, I've recently purchased one from a local guy that started a few from cuttings 22 years ago.
i picked one up for $40 and its really healthy and has lots off flowers and still getting more. Its in a plastic pot and id like to repot it! and info would be much appreciated.

Agapetes make lovely pot plants but terrible bonsai due to the large woody tuber. Use a very well drained mix and plenty of water in summer.

what about figs then? they have much the same woody tuber like base? this is my lantern

thanks for your help anyway, do you think this could be a rare plant? especially in AUS?

If you repot now, you risk losing flower buds. I would repot Autumn. It is considered a rare plant.
