New to bonsai.

Post by Aardman »

Hi everyone,

I've recently become interested in bonsai and I got my first tree the other day, a Pot Belly Fig. I'm really new and I'm looking for advice on what my next steps should be with this tree and I'd love to be pointed towards any resources that would be useful.

Hi, I'm not the right person to ask about Figs, but I just wanted to say hello and welcome. The fig experts will hopefully chime in soon.

Hi there. Welcome to the forum.

It helps if you can add your location to your profile so relevant information can be given.

Figs need different care depending on your climate.

I'm in Brisbane, and so they can be kept outside all year, and generally they will deal with root cutting best in Summer.

Good luck

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful
