What's it called?

Post by bonborn »

I don't have any pictures. I need to know what its called. It looks like a callistemon and the flowers are tiny white but look like callistemon flowers. Can someone tell me its name.

I am looking at propagating it from cutting. Any tips.

Melalueca of some type?
Decusatta is a pink one you may like to compare it to? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melaleuca_decussata

and I found this one while looking it up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melaleuca_armillaris

If anyone knows where to get advanced specimens of both these in Sydney I wouldu be most happy :-)

A lot more info could help haha. Leaf size and shape, growth habit, bark texture etc.

Seeing as you are in Sydney, at this point Melaleuca Ericifolia? (Swamp Paperbark)

You certainly didn't give us much to go off BonBorn haha.

Pearcy.

Could it be melaleuca salicina?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melaleuca_salicina

I had my eye on one outside the my bottle shop which sounds very similar to what you are talking about. I've been meaning to take some cuttings of it but haven't as yet.

Cheers,
Nigel
