Calliandra (ground grown)

Post by wattynine »

Just putting this one in the ground bed for a year or two. I bought it at the Cairns show last year for a steal. design wise its very stepladder (left right left right) with no depth or little front so I am hoping the ground will sort that out for me. I did buy it for its trunk though which I think holds the future for this tree. This species does not develop the gorgeous fireworks flower that Calliandra are famous for but the highlight is in the new foliage that is white and pink then green. I took a hardwood cutting from the tree last year and that still survives so future propagation is likely. anyway to the ground, see ya' in a year or so.
hope you enjoy

What a pretty plant. Hope the result in the next year is what you hoping for.

Good luck.
