Thought I would share a recentish purchase that I made from a local garden center here. I mentioned it in another thread as being labelled a C. laevis but a bit of digging turns out it has probably been re-classified as a M. rugulosa. Either way it is a bog standard common bottlebrush so it's no big deal.
It cost me 10 euro and originally brought it for a design contest over on bnut but I think it has decent potential and more importantly it had pushed me to give wiring a go for the first time and think a bit more critically about the design. Originally I was just going to trunk chop it.

In fact I fully expect to do some smaller chops later on and lose some of what has been wired but as the existing growth was not where I would of preferred it I figure to let it grow out and utilize some of that new growth.
Anyhoo it is at least a start.
How it was when purchased. After some chopping. And end product, I slipped up the pot for better growth. Roots come later. All in all it was a good little experiment and really for the first time wiring it gave me the confidence to do more.
