Hi mel' , I can relate to that rock work and the fact he will probably be long gone before the fig strangles the rock . The beauty of Bonsai is we can do this in miniature and reap the rewards of our labor in a matter of years .
Thanks for posting this Video , the rock work is something to consider here although even with rock I'm a "hacker" and "chopper"
