Sick juniper

Post by Daluke »

The following juniper has turned brown over the last two weeks.

I spray my trees with a copper fungicide but have lost a few junipers with similar browning.

What do you think is the problem?

It is interesting that all the brown looks like it is on one side of the tree.
The fact that it is only affecting one side could indicate environmental issue - sun, shade, water?
Where have you been keeping this juniper?

I don't think it is the cause but why do you spray with copper?

I try and keep in full sun and water regularly.

I read a post by Treeman and bought some as I've lost a few juniper to browning. I assumed it was a fungicide issue.

if your tree has been recently repotted there may be an air pocket under the roots on that side
