From what I've found myself, and others on here have said in other threads, "deminimus" seller on eBay is pretty good and been doing it for a long time:

I have bought off Deminimus before and they are a good reputable ebay seller.

I find most ebay sellers to sell such small amounts for such large amounts. Google is the place to start as you can see each sellers plant list and price. You will find that 5$ for 20 seed is vastly overpriced.

OK I've just ordered some seeds from the reccomended seller Deminus above, most were around 30 to 50 seeds for $3.00 which I think is reasonable, I'll let you know how I go with them.

Haha, of course I knew what yours were!

Some of my wisteria are poking through now. Waiting on the Acer Palmatums, JBPs, Melaleucas, and Turpentine Syncarpias to poke through...

nice mate, did you stratify your maple seeds? if not you might not see them pop up till next year! but being down your way that shouldnt be a problem doing it naturally, that would probly be better for them to, at least you know there not gonna get burnt down there !
as for the others i cant say to much, hope they pop for ya though mate :D

Stratified for about 3 weeks. It's been quite cold out lately though, so should be ok, if they don't pop til next year, that's fine too :)

Have to keep them under the shade, it can get pretty sunny down here during the summer.

i think its more to the point of the actual heat that the sun produces, a 20 degree sunny day would be much better than a 40 degree sunny blistering day for seedlings i think :D

you have good climate down there for stuff like maples and pines and those sort of cold liking species :D

True! We get far fewer blistering days than most other spots! (except maybe Melbourne... :P)

Well the great seed experiment has had mixed results so far, I ordered seeds from three different Ebay sellers, some are still in the fridge but others I planted out with dissapointing results, I had zero success with silver birch and ficus, not a single one sprouted, the Chinese Elms weren't real eager either but I did get some of those to sprout, the radiata pines are doing very well and three different lots of meleleuca were tried, two lots gave good results with a no show on the third, I wouldn't say that the seeds are of a poor quality, as its just as likely I don't know how to propagate seeds properly but the worst thing of all is an Ebay seller claimed I didn't pay for an order that I placed and now I am banned from Ebay yet the order was paid for by bank transfer and delivered and planted out so my whole Ebay experience has been a bad one, they have some sort of dispute centre that you can go to to get it sorted out but I really couldn't be bothered dealing with them any more, its all just too hard.
