JBP buds are turning black

Need Help: the buds and branches of my JBP are covered with black. Photo explains it better.

What is it and and what to do? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ryceman3, yes it does look similar. I also got an info that it is a sooty mold fungus which is the closest to the description of what it is.
