There's a page on fb called Hong Kong Bonsai Pots, and they put up lots of images of trees they find from various Chinese exhibitions and shows.
This one had a couple of shots of various Murraya paniculata trees... behold!
Oh, and the large one just sold for half a million US $

I'm sure there'll be plenty of people who will be taken by the fabulous trees we have here, John. Especially as more of our ancient and contorted trunks are seen...

They are generous in giving great bark texture early on.
I have seen a lot of hedges around currently with fruit on - look a lot like little red Roma tomatoes!.
How did you go with the large 'mini-me" you dug last year Mel?
Did it accept pot life?

I wasn't successful, sadly. It was going well until the really bad summer heat hit, then it turned up its toes. How did you go with the large 'mini-me" you dug last year Mel?
The Murraya you see with the little red seeds is definitely one of the weedy types. I believe there are hybrids now that don't produce seed. Nevertheless, if you can find a good quality trunk for a bonsai then there's no need to worry about its seed being spread by birds.
