Pinus Nigra - Literati

Post by alpineart »

Boredom has set in so i thought I would try fixing up a few yanadori pines .This is a Pinus Nigra "Nigra" collected well over a decade ago and basically kept alive

It wasn't a quick trim and wire rather a long draw out task but I did mange to finish it for now

Definitely the most bonsai work I have done for months apart from watering them.

Literati is a tough gig Alpine but you have this one pretty well sorted. Think it looks great from both the “front” and “back”. Refinement of those pads over the coming years will make it very nice I think, love the bark on this... ticking a lot of boxes!

Hi Greg F , when collected it had 2 tops , after a period of time I chop 1 off . It has been here for too long without any real work so its basically had its first styling today .

Hi Ryceman3 , I'm not a fan of literati but I am happy with the outcome of this one .
I probably wont get to see it develop as it will be sold along with the rest of my tree's . Paying the penalty for this little boredom breaker , no doubt I will be worse off tomorrow .

Cheers Guys . Alpine
