Hey all, was after some advice on one of the pinus radiatas that I dug around April this year, it has really kicked off with lots of new growth some candles 2" long and even new roots poking out the bottom of the pot.
But on the trunk there seems to be a split with what I would assume is a yellow fungus, does anybody know what it is or if its anything to be worried about?
Cheers Beau

HI Beau,
That looks like dried sap to me, but someone else might chime in.
Well done on getting such good growth on a collected pine.
Matt.

Yes, I concur. That looks like dry and crystallized sap from the wound on the trunk. Nothing to worry about.

I concur too. A wire brush should clean that up and you will be left with a shari. I wouldn't be worrying.
