I've been growing this ficus for the past year or so after taking a cutting from a friend's plant. My friend isn't really a bonsai person and wasn't sure about the species. I'm thinking it might be a benji but I'm not 100%.
I was also wondering about what might be causing some of the leaves to go yellow and curl (see last picture) especially on the lower branches. It's also grown a lot less than it did last year. It's been a cooler year than usual and I thought that might have something to do with it. I was giving it full sun for a while but if it's a benji, maybe that's not the best thing for it?
Cheers,
Harley
