I found this article years ago and found it to be invaluable information for potters and bonsai growers alike. I have never seen an article go into this much depth explaining the difference that all aspects of a pot make.
I thought I had lost it again but I just found the print out of the article I made after the first time I lost it.
Enjoy!

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: Selection of pots for bonsai-growing
Thank you for that post Brett it is always interesting to read about choosing pots and matching them to your tree's.
Which when you read them, I now understand why so many people are now learning the art of pot making.
We do have limited access to good pots here in Australia. That was very apparent when I was in the UK and staying with Peter Chan.
The amount and differing sizes and and textures. Also the shapes I had to stop at a half dozen minis. All signatures though so that was some thing.
Again thank you for that.
Cheers
