Myrtleford show society runs a traditional country show each year. A few years ago @Alpineart talked them into adding some bonsai classes into the horticulture competitions.
For a few years those classes were hotly contested but Ian's deteriorating health means he can't be there now. I still make an effort to bench a reasonable showing and the bonsai section has become quite a feature of the show.
Group or multi trunk class:
Native bonsai class:
Cascade or Semi-cascade class:

More from Wang show bonsai bench
Single trunk bonsai class: Under 25 cm class: Bonsai in flower class:
Most spring flowering species are well finished this year but a couple of little cotoneasters still had a few flowers This year I got the show committee to add a 'novice' class to encourage other bonsai growers to enter. Novice = anyone who has not won a prize for bonsai at Myrtleford show. We got 5 entries in that class and one of our local club members made a clean sweep of the novice class: Well done Terry but you now have to compete with the grown ups in future.

Thanks for showing them, Shibui. Love your little Cotoneaster cascade, and also the Alocasuarina.
