It looks fantastic! I have one with similar foliage, but the label didn't identify it other than to say it was a Melaleuca. Is yours a bit snappy, because mine certainly is. I can't wire it without breaking the twigs off everywhere.

Leptospermum rotundifolium has larger, pale pink flowers. Not as prolific flowers as some others in the genus but still puts on a good show. The trees I have tried here have never grown well when subjected to bonsai techniques so I stopped trying. Maybe they don't like the potting mix I use or conditions I was keeping them in as Hanro's seems to be healthy and responding well.
Definitely worth a try.

Mine hasn't flowered since I put it in a bonsai pot. I can't remember what colour the flowers were. I will see if I have photos somewhere. Ta.

It does back bud, usually after repotting which is done every 2 season
