Hi all,
Anyone able to identify what pest might be eating my trident maple leaves? It has happened a few times but doesn't seem to be there all the time, but keep knocking out half the leaf on new full leaves.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Unwanted maple pest

If the holes are irregular shape, suspect caterpillar.
If the holes are almost perfect semi-circles suspect leaf cutter bees.
Personally, I'm willing to sacrifice a few trident leaves for these little native bees which have been hit hard by human development.
