J.B.P...Semi-cascade
It is nice to see The subject of JBP's coming up more. I love the tree and have quite a few in development stage. I would like to post my oldest as i have learnt a lot from it.and it is still teaching me a thing or too. It is 37 years old and i purchased it as a 27 year old . It is a shame i do not have an older photo of it but the progression shows enough development. the main trunk bend was the hardest and most of its life with me has been spent in large benders. Hope you like.

Re: J.B.P...Semi-cascade
Very nice Bodhi, was this tree on display when I visited last week? If so I missed it, perhaps it was hidden amongst all those other nice trees.

The twists and turns in the trunk shot are beautiful, the deadwood and roots are enhancing too. Nice piece of work
Happy new year y'all

Thanks all. I would love to see more classic material posted on here. We,as proud Aussie Bonsai people, should also show the world that not only can we produce Australian native beauty's but can do classic exotics as well

PSSt I do like it, I like the way the roots are stretching on the out side and compressed on the inside.
The bark is forming up nicely also, nice little tree. With time and age will be even better.
Now about that bit about classic Bonsai remember that Ficus are entered in Kokufu

Cheers

Do you know what i would love to see Pup
One of our great Aussie Natives in Kokufo . I reckon we should petition the Japanese Embassy in A.C.T to arrange it for us. We could be guests. Might be a bit hard through customs though
Seriously though I have just repotted an Apple? gum into a smaller pot(with a drastic prune) and it has survived and is thriving. My first successful Euc.
i am ecstatic.

Re: J.B.P...Semi-cascade
It is time to update this tree and having been SOOOOOO busy i received a much needed stimulus last week and pulled my finger out. I have not paid attention to this tree for a while (to busy trying to earn a living) but got stuck into this JBP, and it was so much fun and enjoyment sitting with this tree and working on it that i had to share its progress.

Re: J.B.P...Semi-cascade
Super job! I never thought that the tree of Jan. 2010 would end up as good as this.

Re: J.B.P...Semi-cascade
This one's coming along nicely. I like the angular trunk bends, and the 'wild' styling of the secondary/tertiary branches, nice effort to get these elements to compliment each other without looking contrived.
trunk also seems starting to reveal its true age
thanks for sharing

Cheers, Ryan
