Wrong time but right reason.

Discussions about propagating from cuttings, seeds, air layers etc. Going on a dig (Yamadori) or thinking of importing? Discuss how, when and where here.

Wrong time but right reason.

The Site.JPG
What do we do when confronted by a sight like this ?
The Site 2.JPG
Well we in Goulburn organised a quick dig to rescue these poor Junipers (juniperous spp.)that were facing the chop from the dreaded Bulldozer (bulldozerous destroyous).
We know that high summer is probably not the best time to liberate trees but in an emergency.....
Quich look.JPG
Above a quick look and below a longer look
Longer look.JPG
We now have to keep our fingers crossed and the junipers in the ICU for the next few months and hope that they survive.
She is out !.JPG
Out and watered.

The junipers had been in the front garden of this car yard for a good many years. The dealership relocated to South Goulburn and it is now being knocked down to make way for new shops. So a small community service to reduce our carbon footprint.

It was 30 plus in the shade and we grabbed them and shot through reasonably quick.
But I think we got about 8 very good sized trees. :D

its all about the aftercare mate, if you look after it right you shouldnt have a prob! shade, seasol and a superthrive like product. auxinone is really good if you can find it, but keep them in full shade until you see life from them and keep them in the shade for a fair bit longer until ya know they are gonna be alright!

great finds and hope they survive!

jamie :D
