Good reference books for growing Aussie natives

Post by Jon Chown »

Found a good Australian native reference book today which while not complete by any stretch of imagination, it covers information and identification on 249 species. Excellent colour plates of foliage, flowers and seed pods.

The Book is titled Key Guide to Australian Trees and is written by Leonard Cronin ISBN 0 7301 0252 1

Re: A GOOD READ

Thanks Jon, another one that I have just picked up is - Growing Australian Natives in Pots, Indoors and outdoors by Alec M. Blombery ISBN 0 949924 69 5

There is a basic section on Bonsai (doesn't tell you much) and a good section on Aussie soils. I will trial some of the mixes they describe and post my results here in due coarse.

Regards,
Steven
