Trimming another trident

Post by shibui »

Tridents are appreciating the rain and letup from really hot weather and are growing faster than ever. Heres a before and after of one of my bigger trees.

This tree has just gone into a bosai pot and is now ready to start developing some decent ramification of the branches.

Seems a stranger shape at the moment? Is there a method to this madness :)
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

That's a nice trunk shibui, I look forward to seeing what is underneath that foliage in winter :)

I would suggest that you open up the canopy to let light and air into all the little shoots on the inside of the branches. If you don't do that you will end up with growth only on the branch tips.
