Hi, just posting for you to see how tiny is the flowers of this caliandra in my garden.. the bonsai is still a secret 8-)

The foliage is beautiful. Is it a tree or a shrub ? We are all waiting with baited breath.

hum..the foliage is from the size of our nail! and the flower half size or even tiny! believe it or not, this photo was taken with a macro lens.. do you have caliandra in your garden?

I suspect it would be too cold for them here we get a little snow in the winter and the temps. sometimes stay in single digits for days.

caliandra don't combine with snow, definitly! it's a shrub in the nature..

Hi Amazonida,
So the secret is finally revealed. You have a nice piece of material there. I am not familiar with this species so maybe the queenslanders would be better qualified to comment. To my eye your tree would make a nice windswept style but I feel that would be slightly incongruous to the species. Maybe you could grow it into a semi cascade style. Either way you have lots of work to do on this tree.
