Leaf cutters

Post by Ron »

I don't know if this sort of tool is in general use or not, or if it's a 'beginner's tool', but I bought one recently and I use it all the time now. It comes in a plastic pouch and I carry it in my pocket whenever I'm in the yard. Cost just AU$6.80 including postage and arrived in a week. Going to order a couple more of them.

Good for defoliation. Is it spring loaded?

Yes, it is, Grant. The spring is in the join at the U section. I've found them easier to use than the ones that look like the old-fashioned sheep shears.

Hey Ron, I'm pretty sure you can get them at almost every Fabric store for even cheaper price, it calls Thread Snips/Thread Cutter.

Hey, you're right! And in different colours too. Although this is a UK ad again, they're cheaper than the ones I bought from the other seller.

EDIT: Just bought three of them from this seller ($11.70 incl. postage). At that price I couldn't be bothered searching for a fabric store the closest of which would be at least 45" drive. Thanks for the heads-up.
