Can I use a dremel inside? or does it make an almighty mess?? :twisted:

sort of thinking, if I spread a towel on the floor, will that do? or will it fling bits everywhere?

Paddles, it makes a mess. I recommend the use of such machines outside only.

Heaps of mess, You should wear eye protection and a dust mask or make sure you keep your mouth shut wood dust doesn't taste too nice

It doesn't make any mess, until you use it...

Depending on the bit you use, the dust is very fine so it gets every where!

It's a good way to do a full on general housekeeping after use. God knows it is messy enough outside but to do it inside is simply not worth the clean up time. Advice about eye protection and a dust mask is important. Some woods like olive can be toxic if inhaled in quantity. And it's true!!

I dont have any trees which would be suitable for carving etc, yet, but one day husband will be reminded of the very expensive dremel tools he begged me to buy him for our first Christmas together...
If you are not killing plants, then you are not extending yourself as a gardener..

Depends what bits on what tree, but i dont even use it in the garage if i can help it. Outdoor activity. :D 8-)
