Fungi

Post by paddles »

I seem to be getting various types of fungi developing around my trees, can anyone suggest why, and how do I get rid of it??

Thank you

generally its due to being to wet, if it is an algae like fungi vinegar mixed with water will get rid of it, just use a spray bottle.

if it is a mould on the leaves use a dilution of milk and water at about 1 to 10.

what sort of fungi is it? pictures?

several sorts, its raining out there, so no pics atm, one looks like green jelly, one is vibrant yellow, they are on the soil not the plant.

sounds like an algae. vinegar mixed with water used in a spray bottle, it may take several applications to get rid of.

other option is to take the top soil of it along with the algae.

consistant rain will cause fungi and algae, i have the same prob with the rain at the moment, its the first monsoonal season queensland has had in a few years.
