This book is written by Charles Ceronio, a South African master, but I think it is one of the best I have seen. I like it because it is so succinct... you want info on a particular style, turn to the pages, great line sketches, pot selections.. basically all the info you need. Text is only what's necessary - the info is immediately there. You want to show someone some aspect of styling or get some inspiration for a tree you are working on... grab the book and go. There are some photos of Charles' trees and believe me, this bloke knows what he is about.
I have had the good fortune to attend a couple of his demonstrations and a workshop and he's just so down to earth, so 'every man', so approachable and so willing to teach all that he can.
This is a book I highly recommend for every bonsai enthusiast. I reckon this and Bonsai Techniques by John Naka are the best you can get.
