Hi Archie, i try to not get to involved with fertilizers and have tried 1/2 a dozen or so to arrive at an organic fertilizer that produces good consistent results for me. I use a N.P.K of 4.3.2 but the fertilizer is enhanced with trace elements copper, calcium etc and has seaweed, zeolite and fish meal added. AND..it is deodorised It is a Better grow product(melbourne based) and it works for me
P.S..I also water weekly with Seasol remembering that i have lots of trees.

Thanks for the info Bodhi,
I currently use Seasol every 2 weeks and on the other weeks I used to use charlie carp but have just recently changed to Power feed (Seasol). I also have just started using a couple of scoops of DL into my soil mixes with a sprinkling of DL on the surface also.
I am trying to get some good growth happening in the trunks so I am going to increase the Seasol and power feed to every 5 days.
Well that's for the figs anyway.
This time of the year on my Juni's Maples and cedars I am only using the Seasol once a week at the recommended dosage.
Shooting Powder N:P:K 0:39:25 if you want serious stuff I mixed in half strength comparing to the manufacture instruction and it works extremely well for flowering/fruiting plants.
Always we hope someone else has the answer. Bonsai is an art of shrinking.
I bought something called MKP, mono potassium .... that had no nitrogen. I bought it in brisbane from a produce place. Can't remember the name. The idea was to use this during the winter months for wood growth.
