Hi there "Il Presidente" howz it goin' mate. Hibertia is technically not a climber but more of a "rambler" although the flowers absolutely stink. It is salt and drought tolerant and can be a very voracious grower.

Hi Jester,

I have one I dug from a mates garden 3 months ago. Unfortunately it had been badly ringbarked during mowing & the upper portion died leaving a stump about 10cm tall & 3-4cm across. I had just about decided to rip it out & make use of the pot when I noticed a bud. The growth is now about 10-15cm and progressing nicely.

Cant really be of much more help than to say I am just treating it like every other collected plant free draining mix, protection from the elements, water and lots of prayer.

Here ya go Jester, not much to look at, stump & shoot with 4 sets of leaves but given that i was on the verge of throwing it in the compost I am happy. Really dissappoionted when I got it out of the ground & home to find no life line past the mower damage from the bottom up to the fantastic top.
