Lemon-scented cypress

Post by Glenda »

Hi people,

I have a Cupressus macrocarpa (Lemon-scented cypress) and I was wondering if anyone had trained one as a bonsai, or have any thoughts about its suitability?

Hi Glenda, these trees tend to have very strong coarse growth. Of course you can grow them as bonsai but you may be better putting your efforts into a more suitable species.
