Hi all,
This tree has been on the back burner for a while now. I found it behind my shed a couple of years ago I dug the beast out as there a weed in my area then I had an idea and replanted it after chopping the tap root (and not to mention all others). It came back swinging in a couple of weeks its trunk has grown 2" in dia in the last 2 years and hasn't been watered fertilised just a quick hack at the branches and suckers every 6 months its a freak. I'll try to get a pic in the next few days.
My question though.
Has anyone else tried working with one of these?
If so how does it perform after potting and styling? (is it still evil for breaking buds low on the trunk)
Regards,
Keith.
Celtis sinensis can it be done?

KBC, they make ripper bonsai and are underutilized especially when they grow around here like weeds.

Re: Celtis sinensis can it be done?
I have a celtis australis.
performing ait-layering on it now. basically the tree was too tall. even if my air layer at this time did not survive it will be fine. the bottom end is the want i wan to use.
i try to take a picture of it if i get my hands on a camera.
