Prunus First Styling

Post by Webos »

Hey Guys,
this is the first styling of a Prunus (Probably some kind of Plum) I got a year or so ago. It's somewhere around the 25-30cm mark. I'm going for the bent over contorted slanting look and hoping for a bit of a show when it flowers.

Hi Webos
If this was mine I would be chopping and regrowing a leader.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

I like the sound of that and from looking at what you have done so far I think your right on the mark. I see carving & lots more flowers in time to come, cant wait.

I love Prunus, they are such forgiving and fun plants to work with and in my opinion are some of the best when it comes to flowering deciduous trees.

Excellent to hear. I'm very interested to see if you continue with Robert Stevens work on the tree or if you re-style once again.
