Weeds vs Diatomite
Hey all you people that use 100% Diatomite, tell me, do you get many weeds in your Bonsai
, which of course you shouldn't.

James, I get a few, but only a few. Get heaps in the plants in potting mix, though.

Re: Weeds vs Diatomite
i havent had any real trouble with weeds, i have had some trouble with a mix of diatomite and organic though. all in all it is easy enough to stay on top of it.
my first bag of diatomite i ever got i had these funny little bean things pop up though
like those magic bean plants you see at the big B. some started popping up all over the place but once removed never came back, not quite sure what they were.
like these minus the writing on them

Re: Weeds vs Diatomite
You should have let the magic beans grow Jamie. May have had a goose that lay golden eggs at the top!

Re: Weeds vs Diatomite
Thanks Guys/gals for the replies...hey Jamie I agree with Glenda, maybe you should have left the beans grow, they may have been from the prehistoric times, after all, diatomite once was living plant and crustacean, you could have had a prehistoric plant to Bonsai,
