Confidor on azaleas?

Post by Glenda »

I have a nice azalea I have noticed has some sort of insect infestation. The leaves are rolling up from the tip, with a webby thing inside. The insect then eats out the leaf, leaving a clear, lacey remnant of the leaf. I have cut off all the affected leaves, but I want to know is it OK to use confidor on azaleas?

Thanks Hartos. Have now given it a spray. My mum has two big azaleas (hose on hose?) and hasn't had any trouble with these bugs. I keep telling her she will wake up one morning to find someone has taken her azaleas, and I will have aquired a couple of new bonsais :D  Just joking. She would give them to me if I really wanted them. I have given her a few cuttings from people at the local bonsai club to strike as well.
