I don't know about the new front but the tree is crying out to be wired from top to bottom especially those branches in the crown which will thicken and set very quickly.

I like the the first photo as the front as the runk has the best line there I think, but Like craig says it needs to be wired and I would reduce the length of branches to bring it all closer to the trunk

Yes compact is good, its very easy to grow long branches but much more difficult to keep them short. The length of your branches should be dictated by the trunk thickness. Thick trunk=long branches, thin trunk=short branches.

Much better :-)

No i will be letting the branches grow to about 4- 6 leaves then cut back to the first pair, Let grow again till anopt lot them repeat
This will build the terminal branch structure and ramification.

Maybe it's just me but I would lose that top left bar branch. I like the aerial roots.
Cheers,

I don't know if anyone has noticed, no one has mentioned it, but in photos 1 and 3 there is a definate little "tree man" dancing in that tree..kicking his leg up and throwing his arms about. It's like something out of a scary fairy tale 8-)
