Pinus seed
Wondering if anyone knows an inside source for JBP and JRP seed here in Aus?
Or even some of the types like http://www.mishobonsai.com has? We cant actually bring them in from America so I need an Aus source.
Cheers

Grant Bowie wont have any, unless he has some cones also. I have some cones too, but not enough to go selling.

Re: Pinus seed
Hi all,
When I sold my property a few years ago I left behind my P thunbergii that provided seed reliably for about 15 years. Funily enough I planted 4 pines at the same time but only 1 of the four produced good seed every year and I had to net the tree to keep the Cockatoos off. They know a good pine cone when they see one.
Despite what some people say the seed from cones on a bonsai can be viable if the tree has had a good season with plenty of water and enough food.
However of course if your bonsai pine tree has viable cones on it then you probably haven't been trimming it correctly.
