My first group planting

Hy guys,

This is my first wannabe forest that I created, Im just a beginner but please be sure to comment how could I improve it.
Btw those trees are Murraya paniculata and they will start flowering soon

Very nice Levuccio. I am aiming to do my first group planting soon and it just shows, you don't need many trees for it to look great...love your pot too :D :D

nice pot mate ;)
personaly i would of planted them alot closer together and built the soil up more. i dont know how murraya go as a group planting i havn't seen it done before but anythings possable :D :mrgreen:

Pretty good for a first attempt. As previously mentioned perhaps closer together. After doing my first group I then discovered an article on Harry Harringtons bonsai4me website which is very helpful. It covers odd numbers, overall positioning and perspective and I found it invaluable.

Which side of the river do you hail from ?

Thanks for the suggestions guys, Ill make sure that next time I fit more trees closer together, I just didnt have any more to put there this time.

Theres a lot of great trees out that way and around Auchenflower as well :o

Yes there are a lot of great trees around, Ive been trying to get some cuttings but none of them survives, maybe just because its the wrong time of the year?

Depends - what are you trying, how big are the cuttings etc. I am a mad propagator - but I usually collect figs and bougy cuttings. Am trying some swampy cuttings at the moment. As a general rule things are slower and less successful during winter.
