The tree has a well developed trunk with plenty of movement and the basic framework of branches already developed. It is not easy to find a crabapple this stout and with so much movement as they tend to grow quite straight. The flowers are pale pink and the leaves open purple and mature to green. The tree is very healthy and a robust grower.
