WoW! Under 10cm you say!? What a fine little example. I wish my ficus showed such age, most a merely more than seedling stock... Hopefully one day they will look like this. :)
Regards, Mitchell.

Hey Jarryd,

Is that wire bite I see there, or is it my imagination? If it is, is it done on purpose to get some "life" into the bark?

Nice little tree!

Cheers,

Andrew

I thought that, but it is double wring, of different coloured wire. I think, because wire marks of ficus are not nice.

Cheers :) Pup

nuhh mate they are wires. wire marks arent desirable on any tree should only be done purposely to thicken trunks on young black pine stockut

mitchell this started as seedling stock doesnt take long for figs to start to turn into something interesting.

jamie the leaves do reduce but sort of a bit randomly, some big some small, however i have never really done anykind of reduction efforts just a defoliation now and then for ramification. hope your one comes alog nicely.

Very nice little tree dude :D
I defoliated my only virens today. Forgot to take a pic though. The leaves were quite large though.

Hi Jarryd.
Nice work on your virens. I am working with quite a few seedling virens and like what I am getting quite a bit. Defoliation, debudding will help get nice small leaves on healthy plants.
Keep up the great work.
