The internet has revolutionized bonsai communication.
Robert J. Baran's comprehensive Bonsai History is the online bonsai project that most inspires me.
It was Robert J. Baran's work that inspired my online WorldOfBonsai video series.
Robert has been the primary documenter of Australian Bonsai history. We owe him.
It is my understanding that Robert J. Baran's passionate work to serve bonsai urgently requires financial support.
I would like to invite all Aussie bonsai people and organisations to lend their moral and financial support to this inspiring, educational and selfless project NOW.
This can be done with paypal at the Donate link below

Another way to support this most worthy project is to purchase a childrens bonsai coloring book at the site.
Cheers
Lindsay

Hi Lindsay
I am aware of Robert J. Baran's work, but feel some newer members may not be. Would you have enough time, to fill in some more gaps?
Here's a link that may interest some. http://www.phoenixbonsai.com/bonsaihistory.html

Re: Bonsai History needs YOU
Any person researching Australian, Japanese, Chinese, American, Phillippines, Indonesian bonsai history will find their way to this remarkable resource.
History tells us where we have been and sheds light on where we are going.
Robert conducts his work free from the prejudices that constrain much of our culture.
For the serious scholar, the work of Robert J. Baran is inspiring and instructive.
For the newcomers it is enlightening.
His project needs our financial support now.
I invite your participation. I welcome your involvement.
Cheers
