Nice idea BB50
I had not thought to use precast pavers or concrete. I have made mine using Sewer pipe, but have cast my own tops and bottoms onto the posts directly

What a great idea. Thanks for sharing that. I have yet to start work on benches t dipslay my bonsai (yeah I know I got it the wrong way round) but my collection started and somehow grew so now I have nowhere to put them...bring on November holidays!

T Man, your stand looks great.

Ken, I love the Junction, very artistic, How did you fix the stand on the elbow piece?
I assume you poured a mould? Seems tricky to me, but the result is very effective.

Yes I made a mould out of timber and poured the concrete in, Added the pole with suitable support to hold it till the concrete went off

Turn upsidown and do the other end.

the Mould was just a flat sheet of timber, with 3x2" timbers screwed on each edge to form the sides. I had 2 Forms on 1 piece of timber, and could do 2 poles at the same time

You're praising the wrong person Gary. I asked the question about the construction on his other topic about the set-up of his garden. The work was done by BonsaiBoy50. He's the one that deserves the credit - not me :lol:

Hey KC, if you ever wanted to hide the terracotta look of the sewer pipes, you could paint them with a nice stone paint which would give you colour and texture.

Stone texture would look good or possibley bright red and black
