Basically I'm bored with the standard Japanese matt brown pots tho I do know and admit they are ideal for some trees and I have repotted two trees from fancier pots back into the more basic pot. But after two visits in the last 5 weeks to Newcastle, I have heap of Penny's pots, need to order two more and spent today rehoming about 8 trees.
Now, keep in mind 1) one is in desperate need of shaping and wiring 2) two are in mid training and need to develop fuller foliage pads and an apex and that will change the balance when it happens and bring the trees back to visual Numero Uno 3) a couple of pots need a few months of ingrained dirt to age and 'mature' and lose the NEW look.
Some of you will dispute this tendency to more decorative pots but in the meantime I LOVE the happiness radiating around the benches and the distinctive individuality the new pots have added to the trees.
If anyone is interested, Penny has an 'Arctica' pot very similar to the one 'The Boot' is in, marginally larger for $45. She made two for my order and I chose the smaller one. And the name? The colouration is so much like my Devon Rex Arctica in my avatar that all references were to the Arctica glaze.

Very nice. I personally think the ones without the dribbles look best, though it's hard to tell from a photo. I am working on something in a flat brown pot and I just know I will never be happy with it. I think I will have to rip it out and re-pot into a glazed number.
