Being a newbie, I have been doing a lot of reading on this website and last winter decided to convert 2 of my Chinese Elms that I didnt style too well in the 1st instance, as I let it grow wild and twiggy, into a broom style. So I did the v-cut method
Plant 1- not as good as I would have liked plant 2- as you can see the results is much better here. This bege the question.. Now what.. I have read that I need to prune the side shoots while letting a leader develop.. is this right.. Any tips you have appreciated.
